It all started when...

I was a child and had a passion to capture memories. I learned to use a film camera with help from my grandma and aunt, who are also photography enthusiasts. I went to several workshops through our local 4-H club and practiced frequently with my old Minolta and 35mm lens (which I still have today), primarily focusing on horses and nature. I entered several of my best pictures in our county fair, in both the 4-H classes and the open classes. I was awarded many ribbons for my photographs at both the county and state level, including champion best-in-class at state. While in high school my love of photography and training continued through classes that taught me more about the foundation, basics and development of photography.

During my undergraduate studies, I majored in Biology but filled my electives with photography and photoshop courses whenever I was able too. Additionally, I was an active member in a local photography club and entered my photographs in the Artist of the Arbuckles photography competition, winning several blue ribbons.

I have experience in shooting a wide variety of photographs within the equine industry, ranging from stallion portraits to engagement photos for special cowboys and cowgirls and from senior pictures to freestyle behind-the-scenes or a-day-in-a-life. I love trying new ideas when it comes to photography! My prices vary depending on the event/shoot, you can get a base price and check out some package deals within my photography site and as always, I work to make your vision an everlasting image and am happy to make custom packages, please contact me for a custom quote!

Misti was awesome to work with! She had great ideas on different shots, made us feel at ease, and was a lot of fun to work with! We received our pictures back quickly and they turned out excellent!
